Because they said,
He hath an unclean spirit.

There is a lot of commotion around Jesus.
▪︎ Some family members are of the opinion that Jesus is not doing well: He is out of his mind.
▪︎ Others, the scribes, dismiss it by saying that Jesus is possessed by the devil.
That this statement is unreasonable is made clear by a few short parables, ending in the well-known scriptures about the “sin against the Holy Spirit.”
What is that unpardonable sin?
Bluntly, against your better judgment, attribute the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan. Willful hardening.
For many a burning question is, “Have I committed a sin against the Holy Ghost?”
A short answer may help you: whoever is wondering, has not committed this sin!
Those who harden themselves no longer ask themselves that question …
