[After the crowd tried to keep Jesus from going away from them (vs.42)], ⁴³He said to them, “I must preach the [good news of the] Kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.” ⁴⁴So He kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.
▪︎ What do you think, when you think about the large cities, that are these days, all around the world?
▪︎ What do you think, when you think about the millions of people who are living in them, of whom many, still have not heard the Gospel, or have forgotten all about it?
▪︎ What do you think, when you think about the thousands who only think they are saved, based on
• answering “yes” on a few questions of a pastor,
• lifting up their hand in a meeting,
• copying a prayer that the pastor spoke,
• the feelings they had in that meeting,
but never took the decision to pick up their cross, and follow Jesus?
A great many of them are running as fast as their sinful feet can carry them towards hell!
Do you care?
You don’t have to go to some foreign country, far away, to spread the Gospel. The mission field is right around you!
Maybe you need first help yourself?
If so, then repent of your sins right now, pick up your cross, and start following Jesus.
Jesus sees you, and all the others, living anywhere worldwide, and passionately yearns for all who are still lost, wherever they are, to be saved.
▪︎ Ask God to revive in you a passion to reach the lost with the Gospel of grace.
