Romans 3:23-26
²³ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD, ²⁴being JUSTIFIED as a GIFT by His grace through the redemption which is IN CHRIST JESUS; ²⁵whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation IN HIS BLOOD through faith. This was TO DEMONSTRATE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; ²⁶for the demonstration, I say, of HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS at the present time, so that He would be JUST and the JUSTIFIER of the one WHO HAS FAITH IN JESUS.
²³ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD and all would stand condemned apart from Gods work of Grace in Jesus Christ.
When we think of same-sex marriage, which is possible nowadays in my, and different other countries, our forefathers would have thought this to be impossible for secular people, and they would have never imagined that such a thing could even possibly exist for “Christians”.
We have all heard the reaction on this. You are very old fashioned, in those days it was different but we now live in the 21st Century, and we now have other sensibilities.
In Ephesians 4 we read about us as humans, as a society losing all Sensibility, it’s unspeakable the things that they do.
Ephesians 4:17-19
¹⁷So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the FUTILITY OF THEIR MIND, ¹⁸being DARKENED IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING, EXCLUDED FROM THE LIFE OF GOD because of the IGNORANCE that is in them, because of the HARDNESS OF THEIR HEART; ¹⁹and they, having become CALLOUS, have given themselves over to SENSUALITY for the PRACTICE OF EVERY KIND OF IMPURITY with GREEDINESS.
Do you think that western culture is going to be judged because of all of this? Many believe that, but you are wrong! What do I mean?
You need to read Romans 1 correctly.
You see all the Sins that are in Romans 1, even to the end of the Chapter.
And you say, those things now are found in our society, so that means that God is going to judge our Society one day, because the sins are so prevalent now.
NO..! That’s not what the text is saying.
The text is saying this: If you look at the society, and you see those things are prevalent, it means that god IS already judging our society.
