Revelation 21:7 (KJV)
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
My God is the Most High God, and He is a good God.
Not only is He the Creator of all things, He is also the great judge of all. He rewards righteousness and punishes evil.
The Christian who lives his life close to Christ, and continues to consequently follow Jesus each step of the way, has a reward at at the end. If you are not only determined to walk with the Lord to the end, but also continue to do so, there is a reward for you as well.
In the Bible verse we just read we saw the promise
▪︎ that the ones who overcome shall inherit,
▪︎ it is not saying that it is for the ones who only make plans, but never bring them into practice,
▪︎ and also not for the ones who are determined to follow Him, but half way give in to the many things that the world is offering them.
Dear friends, the Christian life is not like the relaxing life aboard of a cruise ship, but more like that of soldiers aboard a warship.
Continually we have to be alert for the attacks of the opponent, and continually we have to be ready to fight the good fight of faith.
In this fight, that is as long as you are here on earth and strive to follow Jesus, the enemy will throw many things at you. Among them may be deception, disappointment, diseases, hardships, pain, persecution, seductions, temptations, unemployment, and the like.
To be able to overcome all his fiery darts you need to depend on the Christ, on the Word of God, and on the fellowship and counsel of the Holy Spirit.
May the Lord give you grace to overcome and inherit what He has available for you.
