Psalm 27:11
Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path (in a level path), because of mine enemies.
An enemy is a person, a nation, or something that is actively opposing, weakening, harming, threatening, or in any other way hostile to someone or something.
All those who follow the Christ must be aware of the fact that Jesus had enemies in this world, and so do we, because we are not above our Master. And this will stay like that till our Lord returns in glory.
Our archenemy is the devil; he and his demons work to cause atrocities in the lives of people, animals, and living things at large.
The people they hate most are Christians, because they identify themselves with the Christ. The devil and his demons are responsible for diseases, poverty, disappointments, sin, divorce, wars, and death.
We thank God
▪︎ for His grace and love
▪︎ for sending Jesus to us to take the full punishment for our sins,
▪︎ for opening the way back to Him for us.
▪︎ and for His protection from the powers that are against us.
Dear friends, every time you read, or study your Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you, so you will not only read, but also understand His Word. Arming yourself with the Word of God will position you to stand and not fall for any form of enemy that tries to attack you.
There will be no devotional tomorrow, because I have to visit the hospital.
The day after I hope to continue again.
