Let me today in a concise way make known to you, the Gospel which I preached all my life, and that was heard by millions.
It is the Gospel…
▪︎ Which I also preached to you,
▪︎ which you received,
▪︎ in which you stand,
▪︎ and by which you are saved, if you hold on to the word which I preached to you.
If you do not, you have believed in vain.
As first and most important I have delivered the message
▪︎ that the Christ, according to the Scriptures, died for your sins
▪︎ that He was buried,
▪︎ and that He was raised on the third day,
all according to how it was foretold in the Scriptures.
After His resurrection
▪︎ He appeared to the 12 disciples,
▪︎ and after that He appeared to more than 500 brothers at one time.
And I believe, He also appeared to me, when I had the cardiac arrest. This although I am the least of all who preach the Gospel.
And it is by His grace only that I am able to share the Good News of His Kingdom with you.
From the beginning I have preached to you
▪︎ a risen Christ,
▪︎ and the importance to confess your sins to Him,
▪︎ to repent from your sinful way of life,
▪︎ and to follow Him on the narrow way to His Kingdom.
Some people say that there is no resurrection, and even that there is nothing after this life, but that is only what they believe, and they have nothing to prove that what they say is true. We however have God’s promises.
IF there is no resurrection of the dead,
▪︎ then also the Christ could not be risen from the dead
And IF the Christ has not been raised from the dead,
▪︎ then all what I have done, has been done in vain,
▪︎ then also your faith is believing in vain,
▪︎ and in fact I would be a false witnesses of God, because I testified that He raised the Christ.
This all, if in fact the dead are not raised, for if the dead are not raised, the Christ has not risen as well.
Furthermore, if the Christ has not risen,
▪︎ then your faith is worthless;
▪︎ then you are still in your sins,
▪︎ then all who died, believing in the Christ, have perished.
▪︎ and when we have hope in the Christ for only this short life on Earth, we are to be pitied.
But we know, from the most trustworthy source, that the Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first fruit, of all those who today are still asleep.
It was by one man that sin and death came into this world, and it also was by one Man that resurrection and real life came.
In Adam we all die, but in the Christ, all who belong to Him will live.
In the end when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power, He will hand over the Kingdom to God the Father, for He must reign, until He has put all His enemies under His feet, and the last enemy that He will abolish is death.
Stay close to the Gospel that I have preached to you. Do not be deceived, and remember that bad company corrupts good morals.
Be sober-minded, stop sinning, and make sure you have knowledge of God.
When you die you will be buried, but remember that at the resurrection of the dead you will not have the same body, for…
▪︎ a perishable body is sown in the ground,
but it will be raised imperishable,
▪︎ it is sown in dishonor,
but it will be raised in glory,
▪︎ it is sown in weakness,
but it will be raised in power
▪︎ it is sown as a natural body,
but it will be raised as a spiritual body.
As it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
First the natural; then the spiritual.
The first man is from the earth,
the second man is from heaven.
Remember how I told you before that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; in the same way the perishable does not inherit the imperishable.
It is only through Jesus that you can receive this, and that you will be able to go in.
Then again, not all will fall asleep, but all will be changed.
▪︎ This will happen in a very short moment, as in the twinkling of an eye,
▪︎ this will happen at the last trumpet.
The trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and those who are alive on that day will be changed, for this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality, to live forever with our Lord.
And when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then death is swallowed up in victory.
Thanks be to God, for it is only He Who gives us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ. And therefore, be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that it is not in vain.
