My friend you don’t have to be embarrassed, because there are a lot more people than you think, who have some kind of fear.
▪︎ That is because we all can lose so much.
▪︎ And we can lose so much, because we all have so much.
Our jobs, our health, our spouse or partner, our children…
Yes, there are many who have a vague, or perhaps even a terrible fear of something! Very many are afraid of the future. Worldwide problems can arise anywhere, at any moment.
“I am so afraid of the future, the same way as I’m afraid of death” I heard someone say. And some people have a good reason to be afraid for what will come after giving the last breath.
Yes, it is true, the Bible says in Hebrews 9:27 “It is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes judgment”,
▪︎ That is why many are afraid of death,
▪︎ that is what every person feels, even if they have never looked into a Bible.
But the Bible also says in 1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
Yes, that too is what the Bible says.
A very different life is possible. Have you already experienced the love of God?
A love for you, so great, that He gave His own Son to die for your sins… That is incomprehensible. You may, and you can only believe this, accept it, and thank Him for it.
Then a very different life opens up for you. Then you may call that God of love, the Almighty God, “your Father.” That stops all fear, also the fear of the future.
Laying our whole lives in His hands gives peace of mind, and fully surrendering to Him gives peace in your heart and in your life.
A life given to Him…
That is a life without fear. That is a happy life.
