The Bible shows us in John 3:16 (KJV) that Jesus said: ¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever [that is anyone, including you] believeth in him [have complete faith, complete confidence in Him] should not perish, but have everlasting life [an eternal, never ending, life in His presence].
Someone used a part of this verse in a completely wrong way. He read “God loved the world”, and stopped there.
You see, “God loves the world”! He said.
So, why are you saying that people should become more Christ-like, for “God loves the world” Jesus says!
So when people are in the world, and on what you call the “broad way” God loves them. When you talk them away from what you call “worldly pleasures”, you talk them away from God’s love, and above that they will miss a lot of fun.
Isn’t it sometimes just like you hear the snake in paradise talking?
Yes God loves the world, that is US, the inhabitants of the earth, US, who live on this planet, and NOT the things of this world. He loved US so much that He even gave His own Son, TO GET US OUT of this world, so we should not perish, and instead of temporary “fun” should have eternal life!
