I was walking in a street and I saw there three persons.
One was a young man who had a good business plan for which he needed € 2.500,-.
I saw him walk towards a beggar who was sitting at the site of the road and I heard him enthusiastically explain his plans to the beggar.
A little further stood a businessman who interestingly was listening to him as well. He liked what he heard and took his wallet out to support the young man.
Then the young man acted strange.
He asked the 2.500 Euro from the beggar while the businessman was ready to help him. He completely ignored the businessman.
And when the beggar told him he absolutely could not help him, the young man started to beg from the beggar. “Please… please… help me”. Again the beggar told him he could not be of any help. Now the young man said “you are a liar. I know you can help me!”
Hearing this, the businessman put his wallet back in his pocket and walked away. Also the beggar stood up and walked away.
The young man was left with nothing because he asked from the wrong person and had no attention for the one who was willing to help.
Actually many people do the same and remain empty handed. Where Jesus says “Ask the Father in my Name”, many don’t, and ask Mary or some dead saint instead.
Why are people asking for money, while this is only temporary and there is a God Who knows what they need even before they ask?
Why are people collecting all kinds of materials that will rust away, gather riches on earth instead of riches in Heaven?
Be wise, and gather riches in heaven and ask from the Father Who is ready to give.
