You know, in the past I have known some of the richest men in the world. They were spending a lifetime to make money, and I know how miserable some of them were. I’ve seen that rich people, even if they were extremely rich, found NO SATISFACTION in it.
Most rich people may have everything they like, but still experience some emptiness in their lives.
And it is hard for them to fill that emptiness. Sometimes it almost seems to be mpossible.
Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven”. (Matthew 19:23)
I’ve known men who did all they could to get political power. They obviously got it, they reached their office, but it didn’t bring the peace and joy and happiness they hoped for.
I’ve seen that also these people DID NOT FIND SATISFACTION in it.
Many are MISTAKEN, and do NOT UNDERSTAND what the Bible teaches, and do NOT UNDERSTAND the power of God. (See Matthew 22:29)
But here’s an interesting thing: I have never seen a person who gave his or her live to Jesus Christ, and seriously surrender to Him, who didn’t find what they were looking for. THE LOVE OF GOD SATISFIES.
Psalms 54:6-7 — ⁶Willingly I will sacrifice to You; I will give thanks to Your name, O Lord, for it is good. ⁷For He has delivered me from all trouble, And my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies.
Remember GOD LOVES YOU!
“For God so loved the world (here you may put your own name), that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever (here too you may put your own name) believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
He has a PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE! – Jeremiah 29:11 – For I KNOW THE PLANS that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
But you are SINFUL, and because of that, you are SEPARATED from God.
Isaiah 59:2 — “Your INIQUITIES have made a SEPARATION between you and your God, And YOUR SINS have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear”.
Some of the RESULTS of this sin are that you lack abilities, and feel a lack of purpose in life, as well as those horrible things like theft, rape, and even murder. All these bad things can be done by PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND ME because satan and his demons brought SIN in their lives.
Romans 5:12 — Through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because ALL SINNED.
You have to take a DECISION if you want to leave your sinful life behind you.
Joshua 24:15 — “CHOOSE FOR YOURSELVES TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE”
I don’t know how many more sermons it will still take, before you surrender.
I don’t know how many more warnings God will have to give you, before you bow to Him.
I don’t know how many more disasters, or problems it will still take, before you say it is enough, before you make your decision.
Maybe, just maybe, this message today helps you to make the step you still have to do.
Remember that GOD LOVES YOU.
He wants you to TURN TO HIM and He may use all kinds of things to get your attention.
God our Savior, DESIRES ALL MEN TO BE SAVED and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (See 1 Timothy 2:3-4)
The criminal who hung next to Jesus simply said: “Jesus, REMEMBER ME when You come in Your kingdom!” (Luke 23:42) and Jesus answered: “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
That’s how quickly it can go.
GOD IS WAITING FOR YOUR DECISION.
But for you, to be forgiven of sin, you MUST individually DECIDE TO FOLLOW THE CHRIST and LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD
Today He is calling you.
What will your answer be?
Jesus stopped and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” (Matthew 20:32)
He did everything that was necessary for your salvation. Now it is up to you.
