Let me tell you a story today.
At a car dealer there was a beautiful car. It was shining as you would seldom see a car shine. It was really beautiful and it had every luxury you could think of. The dream car for many. The dealer cleaned the dust of every day, and vacuum cleaned it frequently, keeping it in mint shape.
The car was famous too as it was used in many commercials, and on the window were stickers that told you that it won many first prizes at car shows.
But these stickers told you also something different. This car was absolutely not the latest model, as it was already for years at the dealer’s showroom.
If you wondered why, and asked the dealer how come the car was after years still in his showroom he would tell you that although this car was beautifully made and had all thinkable luxury it missed one essential thing.
It had no engine and so no power.
As long as the car missed this, it would be impossible for it to come to it’s purpose.
Now about us.
We are all wonderfully made by our creator. Some of us are so beautiful that they can even work as model.
But like the car, many of us need a look under the hood. And when we do we find out there is a heart of stone that needs to be replaced.
I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh
When we do we find out there is no oil, no Spirit that can keep them alive and moving.
When we do we find out there is no power cell. There is no power so they can not shine in the darkness to lighten the way.
(105) Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (130) The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
From the outside many people may look very good and nice, but no matter all what they may have; like the car without engine, they too will never come to their purpose.
The Lord has made everything for its own purpose
Now be honest to yourself.
You are beautifully made, but did you already come to your purpose?
Do you have all that God wants you to have? Or are you still missing Jesus, are you still missing His Spirit, or are you still missing power?
Jesus said in Luke 11:9-10,13
(9) “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
(10) For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.
(13) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”
