And Jesus said unto him,
Go thy way;
thy faith¹ hath made thee whole².
And immediately he received his sight³,
and followed⁴ Jesus in the way⁵.
Devotional
Salvation is grace.
That is learned at Jesus’ feet.
All that Bartimaeus did was to go the way that the Word shows: “Call on Him in the day of trouble”.
There all our rights fall away and grace becomes a miracle.
Life opens by the word of the Christ.
Bartimaeus not only becomes seeing, but is saved by faith too.
That faith is expressed in his question to the Christ. For the Savior had been prophesied to open the eyes of the blind.
Anyone who entrusts himself to the Lord by faith will find that He makes His Word come true. Then we are saved by His grace.
Blind eyes are opened by the Christ,
and hearts of stone are renewed by Him.
Did you already learn that at His feet?
Even now you are called by the Christ.
