That must be hard for a fighter, whether it is a general or a wrestler, a boxer or a chess player.
▪︎First it all went well,
▪︎then the setback came,
▪︎then you had to go into defense mode,
▪︎a little later the situation became hopeless,
▪︎soon after that the realization dropped in “I can’t make it”,
▪︎and finally you gave up, you surrenderedp.
Yet, it is the same in the life of every person.
▪︎If you want to be happy…
▪︎If you want to have peace of mind…
You got to surrender!
Certainly, first a person has a time when everything is going well; one does it without God, and the other in a Christian way, but everything runs smoothly. Until… something goes wrong.
Maybe you start thinking that you did somewhere something wrong…
But you continue, you say to yourself “persist, continue, or keep on going” and you become a fighter to win it…
Until you get to that one word… “GOD”…
And you start wondering am I fighting God? In that case I can never win.
Or am I trying to do it without Him? And is He busy with me, getting me in His way…?
Do you have any idea of what the Love of God really is? Yes, I mean the infinite Love of the only God? Do you know that He wants to help you, and just waits until you come to Him with everything?
Do you know, that if you would surrender to Him, how much difference that would make? How much change that would cause in your life? It is sin, the wrong things in your life, that stand between you and God. That has to be removed, and you must admit, and acknowledge that.
Well, you can go with that to the Christ, the Son of God. He died, to be able to forgive you all your sins.
Surrendering is
▪︎ Admitting all your wrong doings, admitting that you yourself are wrong, yes evil. And honestly telling it all to Him…
▪︎ Putting all of your life into His hands with all your misery and problems.
▪︎ Starting to follow the Christ.
He wants to forgive and restore you, that’s for sure.
When you surrender, entrust yourself completely to Him, you will find real rest, safety and security.
This is the only way.
