But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Devotional
The providence of God is over all things.
The Lord reigns over all things.
The enemies of the Church cannot go further than the Almighty allows.
Christ raised up his disciples not to fear men.
After all, they can at most kill the body, but not the soul.
The Savior also points out that nothing happens outside of the providence of God. Not one sparrow falls to the ground without the will of the Father. Even the hairs of the head are all numbered.
In it God’s care for His own is shown.
He knows the circumstances in which His child finds himself.
All needs and cares are known to Him. Nothing happens by chance.
The Lord reigns in the life of His child.
- May looking to the providence of God give strength in days of trial.
- May looking to the providence of God inspire confidence in the Almighty.
- May the Lord grant that you are imbued with the knowledge that the sufferings of this present time are dwarfed when compared with the glory that will be revealed to God’s children.
