Flight to Egypt
Matthew 2:14 NASB
So Joseph got up
and took the Child and His mother
while it was still night,
and left for Egypt.
Study
Joseph immediately obeyed the divine command.
▪︎ As Moses, the deliverer of Israel from Egypt, once had to flee from Pharaoh (Exodus 2:15),
▪︎ likewise now the Messiah, the great Redeemer, had to flee to escape Herod.
