Imagine, you have to keep Passover, and you have nothing.
No hall and no lamb, no unleavened bread, and no sauce.
The disciples saw the first day of the Unleavened Bread approaching. An important day. For on that day the Passover lamb was slaughtered. And now the time has come. The day has arrived. And they must keep Passover with nothing!
They now had to ask it… Where do You want us to go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover? After all, the Lord also must celebrate Passover. Peter and John have to find the house through a water carrier where they have to ask about the dining room.
They will find that hall equipped and ready. The Lord prepares everything for His disciples. You can imagine that they have been distressed with the celebration of the feast.
To have nothing and still have to celebrate.
Whoever did not celebrate it, must be cut off from His people. But the Lord makes all things ready and equipped. He is the Host who receives His own.
Perhaps you should and may also have the sacrament again soon.
However, you can bring nothing but guilt. Everything you need is missing.
However, the message is: It is ready. All things are ready!
