Mark 14:12
On the first day of Unleavened Bread,
when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed,
His disciples said to Him,
“Where do You want us to go
and prepare for You
to eat the Passover?”

The Passover is to be celebrated, the feast of deliverance, to remember the great deeds of the Lords. The disciples want to prepare the passover meal.
It will be a wonderful meal from start to finish:
▪︎ the way they find shelter,
▪︎ appointing the one who would betray Jesus,
▪︎ and not least the institution of the Lord’s Supper.
The bread and wine of the passover meal take on a new meaning: that’s My body and that’s My blood.
Although not mentioned in Mark 14, it must have been extremely impressive to the disciples.
And for us?
His body and blood given for the complete atonement for all our sins.
