Luke 1:34 KJV
Then said Mary unto the angel,
How shall this be,
seeing I know not a man?
I can imagine that very well, Mary’s reaction: how will that be? How will that happen?
The answer Mary gets is no explanation. There is nothing to understand here.
You could call the angel’s answer a promise.
Mary, God will take care of that. You don’t have to do anything for that. The Holy Spirit will come on you.
Maria has to be satisfied with that answer. And she is: Let it happen to me according to your word.
Luke 1:38 KJV
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord;
be it unto me according to thy word.
And the angel departed from her.
From Maria’s answer, you and I can learn something.
There are many things we can simply leave to God. He will take care of it. You don’t have to understand everything.
That is sometimes quite difficult. Because the devil whispers in your ears: “This cannot be!”, “Probability indicates that it is almost impossible!”, “God cannot do that!” !!
But is that actually the case?
“Can God impossibly do something, because our minds are too limited to understand?
It comes down to faith.
▪︎ Believe that God is powerful enough to do what He promises.
▪︎ And believe that God is faithful to do what He promises
It is the Holy Spirit who made sure that the Lord Jesus was born.
And it is that same Holy Spirit Who wants to give you faith and confidence.
