Joel 2:19
The Lord will answer and say to His people,
“Behold, I am going to send you grain, new wine, and oil,
And you will be satisfied in full with them;
And I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.
God is a God who answers.
The Bible cannot say enough about that.
The Psalmists sing of it; and the prophets cheer about it.
The Lord is a God who answers.
A God, whose friendly face gives joy and light.
Unlike idols, who have no friendly face at all, and who do never answer.
Would we still seek our happiness from them?
The Lord answers. To all your questions?
No. You can ask so many questions that do not touch the heart of the matter.
But you can find an answer to the questions of your heart.
And that answer will be: the Lord Jesus Christ.
Notice, my soul, what answer God gives you.
