Q & A – Jesus the Redeemer
Why is Jesus the Redeemer?
Just before His birth, Joseph was told:
She (Mary) will bear a Son; and you (Joseph) shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
- He died on the cross because He bore the penalty for our sin.
- God punished Him for what we have done
- He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
The next day he (John) saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
