Romans 8:22-23
²²For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. ²³And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
Groaning for the return of Jesus Christ.
The Bible shows us here, that it is not only us, who look forward to that day of our Lord. The whole creation is waiting for His return as well.
Together we suffer the pains of childbirth, in eager expectation of what is to come. We see these pains in an continually increasing speed following, one after the other. Tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, flooding, and so on.
A number of years ago, people were warned for a new ice age, and trillions of dollars were spent worldwide to prepare us for the extreme winter that was coming and that would last for multiple decennia.
Now 45 to thirty years later similar amounts are ready to be spent to prevent a global heating. And in those days the signs that they were wrong were hidden in the media, now, like then, they are hiding them as well.
But something is going on.
We see the signs of the coming of our Lord in it, and are at ease. But they, who don’t even accept that there is a creator, panic, and they can’t explain, and so jump from a new ice age, to global heating.
It is the Holy Spirit who helps us remain calm, and be patient and at rest, while we wait for the day, that also this great promise will be fulfilled.
Yes, that day is coming! The day that all of God’s children will celebrate, as the promise of what is to come will be fulfilled. But that same day, will be a day of terror, a day of death, a day of destruction, to all those who resist Him.
All those who belong to the Christ, do not fear His return, but they rejoice when they think of what is to come.
Those who don’t believe in an almighty God, live in fear for what is to come, first an ice age, now global heating, and who knows what will be next. But we, who belong to Him, look eagerly forward to that great day, because we know what a glorious time will follow.
All we have faced on this earth will come to an end, and we will all be one, in all eternity. And while we are still waiting, God our Father, gives us His Holy Spirit Who comforts us, and helps us in our impatience.
If you don’t belong to the Christ, you indeed have reasons to be afraid for the future! Not as much for a new ice age, or global heating, but for hell, that terrible place, that is waiting for you.
But as I keep saying: You don’t have to end up there!
It all depends on your choice. You must make a decision, you need to repent, take up your cross, and start following Jesus!
If you don’t make that decision, or delay, one day, time will decide for you. But know this, the moment my Lord returns, or the moment your heart stops and you stop breathing, it will be too late for you, for all eternity.
No one in hell can still repent of their sins. The time to do that is now, on this very moment!
