Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)
And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
The Lord, in the Hebrew text we see here the tetragrammaton (הוהי YHWH), the name of God transliterated in four letters as YHWH and articulated as Yahweh (in some groups as Jehovah).
It is God Himself, the “I AM”, “the existing One”, the creator of the universe, Who goes ahead of you, and will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.
This is the promise Joshua received just before the people of Israel would enter into their land.
This, plus the encouragement NOT to be dismayed (a strong feeling of fear, worry, or sadness that is caused by something unpleasant and unexpected)
Also we can have the most high God, the greatest leader in the whole universe, as our leader. Why should we not leave everything in His hands, and let Him lead us?
I have called on you many times to surrender all to Jesus and follow Him. When you do this, you will experience, that as long as you remain loyal and devoted to Him, He will always be with you.
Dear friends, as long as you are conscious of the presence of God in your life, fear and anxiety will have no influence on you.
Because you have received Him, and believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12), and so your Lord will never forsake you.
How much more reasons do you need to love, serve, and worship Him? When you remain fully devoted to Him, you may have the assurance that He will lead you to His Father’s house, of which He said:
John 14:2 – In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
