Romans 3:23-26
²³ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD, ²⁴being JUSTIFIED as a GIFT by His grace through the redemption which is IN CHRIST JESUS; ²⁵whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation IN HIS BLOOD through faith. This was TO DEMONSTRATE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; ²⁶for the demonstration, I say, of HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS at the present time, so that He would be JUST and the JUSTIFIER of the one WHO HAS FAITH IN JESUS.
²³ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD and all would stand condemned apart from Gods work of Grace in Jesus Christ.
When we think of same-sex marriages..,
It is unbelievable, but they are possible nowadays in my, and different other countries.
Our forefathers would have thought this to be impossible for secular people, and they could have never imagined that such a thing could even possibly exist for “Christians”.
We have all heard the reaction on this.
They said it often to me: “You are very old fashioned, in those days it was different, but we now live in the 21st Century, and we now have other sensibilities”.
Yes, you may call me old fashioned, stupid for holding on to that “old time religion”. But it is good enough for me!
When you think that western culture is going to be judged because of all of this, then you’re wrong.
When you read Romans 1 correctly you see that all the Sins that are mentioned in Romans 1 even to the end of the Chapter, the things that are now common in our society, are not calling for judgment. It IS God’s judgment.
Romans 1:18-24
¹⁸For THE WRATH OF GOD IS REVEALED from heaven against all UNGODLINESS and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, ¹⁹because that which is known about God is evident within them; for GOD MADE IT EVIDENT TO THEM. ²⁰For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His ETERNAL POWER and DIVINE NATURE, have been clearly SEEN, being UNDERSTOOD through what has been made, so that they are WITHOUT EXCUSE. ²¹For EVENTHOUGH THEY KNEW GOD, THEY DID NOT HONOR HIM AS GOD OR GIVE THANKS, but they became futile in their SPECULATIONS, and THEIR FOOLISH HEART WAS DARKENED. ²²Professing to be wise, THEY BECAME FOOLS, ²³and EXCHANGED THE GLORY of the incorruptible God FOR AN IMAGE in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. ²⁴THEREFORE God gave them over in the LUSTS OF THEIR HEARTS to IMPURITY, so that their bodies would be DISHONORED among them.
Often you will hear people say that one day, God is GOING TO judge our Society, but that is NOT what the text is saying.
The text tells us that THEREFORE, wherefore? Because THEY KNEW GOD, and THEY DID NOT HONOR HIM AS GOD, and did not THANK Him for His blessings, God gave them over to the LUSTS OF THEIR HEARTS to IMPURITY, so that they would DISHONOR their bodies.
It’s NOT because God is going to charge you, HE ALREADY HAS ! And what we daily see, shows us that those people are doomed.
• God will still convert people,
• God will still save people,
• He will still have his remnant,
but what you are witnessing during your life now is the death of many nations by gods hand.
When you read these verses now, you’ll see it in a different way.
