The Bible says in the ten commandments “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.”
So if your uttermost attention is not on God but on something or somebody else you are in transgression of this commandment.
Some have some singer as their idol, for others it is a football team or even Jesus’ mother Mary.
If God is not taking the first place in your life, you are living in sin for there should be nothing or nobody before Him.
Now we know that sin cannot enter God’s Kingdom, so your sin will prevent you to enter His Kingdom and open the door to hell wide.
BUT
Here’s the Good News:
Jesus prepared a way for you.
You really need Him to save you from eternal destruction. He took your sins and brought them in His body to the cross.
Yes we are the ones that whipped Him and nailed Him to that cursed wood with our sins. I never wanted to hurt Him; I never wanted to hurt your Son Father, but I did by the way I was living. Please forgive us.
There is forgiveness!
God choose to give His Son for you.
Jesus choose to lay down His life for you. While Jesus was suffering immense pains He was thinking of you. He suffered for you to set you free from sin so you can enter with Him into His Kingdom.
Follow Him and dedicate your life to Him. Thank Him for what He did for you.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
