Acts 1:8 NASB
You will receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria,
and even to the remotest part of the earth.
King James Bible
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
New King James Version
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
The kingdom of heaven is the most powerful kingdom in the universe.
Its mode of operation is different from the kingdom of the world.
When mankind fell from grace due to sin in the Garden of Eden, we needed to be saved from the power of sin.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Jesus Christ was sent to save mankind, and He achieved this through the power of God.
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
It is the Holy Spirit Who awakens people, so they start longing for salvation.
So to reach the people, they needed the Holy Spirit. It was for this reason that Jesus Christ ordered the disciples to wait until they received the Holy Spirit, before they could go out and witness of Him.
Dear friends, the Holy Spirit is available to you as well.
When you accept God’s gift to you, Jesus and His sacrifice, take up your cross, and start following Him in the narrow way, the Holy Spirit comes into your live as well, to lead you, to advise you, and to comfort you, whenever it is needed. He will also prepare you to witness of your Savior.
▪︎ Ask the Lord to give you the needed strength and wisdom to be a good witness for Him.
