2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NASB
³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, ⁴who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Devotional
Ignorance is responsible for the plight of some Christians in the Kingdom of God.
No Christian can be blessed above the knowledge of God’s Word in them.
As children of God, we should come to terms with the fact that tribulation is part of our walk with God (Matthew 10:22–24).
All the patriarchs went through tribulation one way or another.
One thing was guaranteed though: God was with them and comforted them in the end by bringing their miracles to pass.
Dear friends, God is aware of the tribulations or afflictions you are going through, and He is working behind the scenes to bring you to a comfortable place.
The opening scripture buttresses this and says God is merciful to comfort us in our afflictions so that we can also comfort others.
Therefore, never complain but give Him the praise, and your afflictions will become lighter for you to go through till you are comforted.
Prayer suggestion
- Thank your heavenly Father for His mercy upon your life.
