Devotional
The Bible reminds us continually that we must love our brothers and sisters in Christ, and not only them, also your enemies, and those who hurt you.
This verse points us to this fact again.
If we love God, then we must also love His children and our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Loving each other is not optional, negotiable, or even something to be delayed.
God sent Jesus to die for the sins of all of God’s children.
How can we not love those for whom Christ gave so much?
As Paul says to the Corinthians, “God’s love compels us!” We too should love.
Prayer suggestion
▪︎ Ask God to forgive your sometimes selective practice of loving His children.
▪︎ Ask God to bless, to nourish, and to sustain your brothers and sisters in Christ.
▪︎ Ask God to bless in particular His children who have great trials and burdens. (Name some of those of whom you know they need God’s help).
▪︎ Ask God to use you to minister to them in tangible ways.
