Micah 7:9 KJV
I will bear the indignation of the Lord,
because I have sinned against him,
until he plead my cause,
and execute judgment for me:
He will bring me forth to the light,
and I shall behold his righteousness.
I have not obeyed the Lord, so he is angry with me. He will continue to punish me, until the time when He speaks for me. Then He will make things right for me. He will bring me out into the light. He always does what is really right. And I will see that then.

Bear patiently.
The indignation of the Lord
His punishment inflicted on me (Lamentations 3:39).
The true penitent “accepts the punishment of his iniquity” (Leviticus 26:41,43); they who murmur against God, do not yet know their guilt (Job 40:4,5).
Execute judgment for me
Execute judgment for me against my foe.
God’s people plead guilty before God; but, in respect to their human foes, they are innocent and undeserving of their foes’ injuries.
Bring me forth to the light
Bring me back to the temporal and spiritual redemption.
I shall behold his righteousness
His gracious faithfulness to His promises (Psalms 103:17).

Because of all apostasy and disobedience, God’s judgments are inevitable and God will pour out His wrath on His people.
Strange powers will come and destroy the land.
That is a moving and startling knowledge for Micah and the godly among the people.
How do they position themselves under this?
Resentful and rebellious?
Do they clench their fists and say: Is that a God of love?
No, Micah knows: the Lord is right in all his ways and works.
He humbly bowed to his God and said: “I will bear the wrath of the Lord, because – and he knows himself completely one with his people – I have sinned against Him.”
Here you see how the true faith knows of a genuine sense of guilt.
That saves from rebellion and resentment and makes you bow to the Lord in humility, even when He comes with His chastening hand.
However, this bending is quite different from a dull resignation.
For whoever really bows, will at the same time bow down to the feet of Him, Who put out the heat of God’s wrath on Golgotha. Here the miracle opens: Jesus died for us, otherwise we would have died eternally.
