Genesis 28:15
Behold, I am with you
and will keep you wherever you go,
and will bring you back to this land;
for I will not leave you until I have done
what I have promised you.”
The Word of God is very powerful.
Daily devotion
Over and over again I read sentences like these
▪︎ God’s word is powerful, therefore praise God’s word
▪︎ God’s plans are powerful, therefore praise God’s plans
▪︎ God’s name is above all, therefore praise God’s name
▪︎ God’s deeds are great, therefore His deed are to be praised
▪︎ Etc. etc.
Do you see the danger in these sentences?
The next step is that people praise His creation, instead of the Creator.
What about God Himself?
Isn’t He powerful?
Shouldn’t He be praised?
Why then not give the honor to Him?
(Instead of to His word, His plans, or His name, or something He created, etc.)
It (meaning God’s word) was able to create heaven and Earth and everything therein,
Daily devotion
When you are speaking of “IT”, you are not speaking of Jesus before His birth in Bethlehem. But of the words spoken by the Almighty Creator when He worked this creation.
Based on John 1:1-3 it is correct to say that the Word created heaven and earth
John 1:1-3
¹In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
²He was in the beginning with God.
³All things came into being through Him,
and apart from Him nothing came into being
that has come into being.
If it (the word) is capable of creating all this,
Daily devotion
it is also capable of giving you whatever you need.
So speak the word, and receive what you want !!
This is how the prosperity gospel works.
Name it and claim it
Speak it and receive it
But the prosperity gospel is NOT the Gospel!
Every gospel that has a word before the word gospel is a false gospel, for there is only one Gospel. The Gospel of Jesus the Christ.
Have faith in the word
Daily Bible
No! Don’t put your faith in words,
But put your faith in God !
When God appeared to Jacob in his dream and assured him of His presence and support, Jacob believed it and held on to the promise of God.
Likewise we too may hold on to the words of Jesus.
Hebrews 13:5
Make sure that your character is
free from the love of money,
being content with what you have;
for He Himself has said,
“I will never desert you,
nor will I ever forsake you,”
Dear friends, never doubt your Father in heaven.
Have and keep faith in Him.
