Matthew 10:39
He who has found his life will lose it,
and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.
God loves His creation, and He has the best of the best in mind for us.
But due to our sins we don’t deserve to receive anything from that.
Our problem is that our God is righteous, and good, and we are not !
This brings a distance between us and God, as we cannot reach God’s standards in our own strength.
▪︎ The sinful human nature is looking for a luxurious life, with lots of pleasure.
▪︎ And the sinful human nature is not willing to think about the future, as it wants to enjoy the here and now.
Also satan is willing to give you just that, in exchange for your soul.
When you think that you at last have found your life, and you can enjoy it now in luxury, you may already have lost it, or you are close to the point where you will lose it forever.
And on the other hand, those who have lost their life for the sake of Jesus, or because they followed the Christ, will find it.
Isaiah 47:15
Each has wandered in his own way; There is none to save you.
No… For ages there was none to save you!
Until God intervened, and came to us.
He came to us in the human form we know as jesus.
He literally was Emmanuel, God with us.
Isaiah 53:6
All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.
Only by your decision to repent of our sins, and to follow jesus, God can give you the gift of being born again, and the Holy Spirit,
▪︎ Who will teach you about the way you have to follow,
▪︎ Who will comfort you whenever you need His comfort.
▪︎ And Who will help you to become more and more like the Christ.
Philippians 2:5-11
⁵Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, ⁶who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, ⁷but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
⁸Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
⁹For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, ¹⁰so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
▪︎ All people who keep Jesus out of their life…
▪︎ All people who decide that they want to have nothing to do with Him…
▪︎ All people who continue to ignore the continual warnings, they receive by mouth, in writing, and even from the earth itself…
Will one day be so terribly sorry that they didn’t listen.
Yes, they too will be raised from the dead and stand before God’s judgment throne. And if you are one of them who stand there without being cleansed by the blood of Jesus, you will have an eternity to regret your choice to refuse Jesus’s offer to set you free from sin, and to enter into His Kingdom.
If you are one of them that ignored His continual call, you will on that day realize that you made a wrong choice for your soul, because then it will be too late to change your mind, and you will end up in hell.
But, those who dedicate their lives to Jesus and serve Him now will one day be allowed to enter to dine with the Lord and all the other saints, because their sins were forgiven.
Dear friends, dedicate your life to Jesus, and follow Him from now on, so that when that day comes, you too will be allowed to enter. Serve the Lord, take up your cross, and keep following Jesus.
