The tempter came and said to Jesus, “IF you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.” (Matthew 4:3)
In other words: IF you don’t change these stones into bread, you prove that you are not the Son of God.
And now something we see several times per day on the Internet.
- IF you love Jesus than share this with your friends.
- IF you want to go to heaven send this to 15 friends.
- IF you want to receive a blessing, share this in 5 groups. Etc. Etc.
In other words: IF you don’t do what was said you prove that you don’t love Jesus, you prove that you don’t want to go to heaven, or you don’t want to be blessed.
You see the similarity?
These pictures and messages are not building faith but are coming from someone who is tempting you. And these messages should not be placed (or forwarded) by those who follow the Christ.
