1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from Him
and announce to you, that God is Light,
and in Him there is no darkness at all.
God is Light.
That is a clear gospel.
It is also very black and white.
That’s why it’s very discovering.
If there is no darkness in Him, then with Him all our darkness comes to light.
He has nothing to do with the works of darkness as the devil’s own works. He is absolutely opposed to a life in sin.
Who belongs to Him, Who is Light?
▪︎All who have come to hate the darkness of sin.
▪︎All who have loved the truth.
When we still say:
- “Oh that and that is not so bad!”
- or “a man is not perfect!”
- or “everyone does it!”
then we are still not where we should be.
The Lord Jesus is the Light of the world and we do not learn from Him to walk in darkness. Therefore, also this day, walk as children of the Light.
