He that loveth father or mother
more than me is not worthy of me:
and he that loveth son or daughter
more than me is not worthy of me.

He who loves son or daughter more than Me, is not worthy of Me.
It can happen that children ask something from their father or mother that goes against God’s Word. They want to take them somewhere where the parents cannot sit with a clear conscience.
How should one act then?
A clear “no” must be said.
But practice often shows something different.
For sake of the so-called dear peace, one just agrees.
Once is not so bad, is it?
After all, they are my children who have good intentions for me.
Do they really want good for you spiritually?
May the Lord give grace, to make us obedience to Him, above all else.
Affection to children should not stand in the way of obedience to the Lord.
Family relationships should not stand in the way of obeying the Most High.
The Lord should take the highest place in heart and life.
Then the truth will arouse opposition in the family circle.
Then enmity and dissension manifest themselves.
