Matthew 9:27 KJV
And when Jesus departed thence,
two blind men followed him,
crying, and saying,
Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
Devotional
The two blind men will have heard of the raising of the daughter of Jairus.
Would there not be a cure for their blindness with Him, who raised the dead from the dead?
Two blind people seeking healing.
Are you suffering from spiritual blindness?
Have you become desperate for a new heart?
“Thou Son of David”.
In this claim the Lord was recognized as the promised Redeemer, Who would open the eyes of the blind.
Though they were blind, they saw much more than the sighted Pharisees and scribes.
“Have mercy on us”.
It would be undeserved kindness.
These two blind men come to the Lord as beggars.
Is that shape strange to you?
A beggar, who cannot assert any right, who cannot claim anything.
The eyes of the two blind are opened by the Saviour.
Thus blind eyes of the soul must be opened of God’s good pleasure in the way of the miracle.
Do you believe the Lord can do this?
He is the Almighty One, for Him nothing is too wonderful!
