Matthew 7:25
And the rain fell, and the floods came,
and the winds blew and slammed against that house;
and yet it did not fall,
for it had been founded on the rock.
Devotional
The wise builder digs out the loose layer of sand until he hits the rock.
Then he places appropriate stones on the rock. In this way the house will b one whole with the rock.
He will not trade with the foolish builder.
The Rock is the Christ. The Church of God is built on the rock of Christ.
The torrential rains, the floods and the winds are coming.
The foolish builder’s house falls, but the wise builder’s house stands. It stands firm on the unshakable Rock.
The judgment of God has passed on the Rock, on the Christ.
That is why God’s children, if they have to give an account at the end of their lives, go free. They have heard and done the words of the Lord.
Woe to those who build their house of life upon another ground, upon another foundation than the Rock.
Woe to those who expect a little religion and self-righteousness. Their house of life will collapse.
Are you still building on sandy soil?
Blessed is he who by grace may build upon the Rock, upon the Christ.
Their house will not fall, for it is founded on the Rock.
