Acts 20:20-21
²⁰ How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house, ²¹solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The best TACT in soul-winning is CONTACT!
One of the reasons the church is so anemic today is that we have failed to follow the Biblical principles of Acts 20:20.
Systematically canvassing neighborhoods and holding outdoor meetings are now frowned upon by some, and neglected by others.
However, contacting lost sinners along the byways of life, as they stop to hear a song and listen to a word of testimony, can bring many rich blessings.
I recall the case of one man who for years refused to attend church.
He was saved, however, when I witnessed to him years ago on a street corner, although I didn’t know it at the time. I thought the meeting was a failure, but over a quarter of a century later I learned from his daughter that the seed sown in faith had brought forth fruit. She said her father turned to Christ that night, became a wonderful worker for God, and led many others to the Savior before his death.
John Vassar made it a point to do much visitation work.
In one village an Irishwoman, hearing that he was distributing tracts in her neighborhood, exclaimed angrily, “If he comes to my house, I won’t treat him kindly.”
The next day when he rang her bell, she slammed the door in his face.
Sitting down on the steps, he sang, “But drops of grief can ne’er repay the debt of love I owe; here, Lord, I give myself away – ’tis all that I can do!”
As he continued to sing, the words of that blessed old hymn with its message of grace reached deep into that woman’s heart, and her life was gloriously changed.
Have you ever gone witnessing from “house to house”?
It is one of the best ways of contacting lost sinners.
Oh, that we all had such “Acts 20:20 vision.”
Seeking the lost, and pointing to Jesus
Souls that are weak and hearts that are sore,
Leading them forth in ways of salvation,
Showing the path to life evermore.
