Are you attending a Church or a Business, which is mostly after your money?
- When you are in a church where the pastor functions as if he is the director, you are probably not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where church members are treated as if they were customers, trying to sell books, and other things to them, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church who sees other Churches as competitors, you are probably not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where evangelism is reduced to marketing, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where church planting looks more like franchising, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where numbers are primary measure of success, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where Prayers are replaced by formulas, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where Word studies are replaced by formulas, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where revival is reduced to a few days fund-raising program, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where preaching sounds more like motivational speech, you are probably not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where all the people do is shout “I receive”, or “Amen,” throughout the service, you are probably not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where you sometimes wonder “Am I in a church service, or in a concert?”, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where praise and worship is turned into a performance, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where the best “actors” are made the worship and praise Leaders, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where the Spirit of God is reduced to “Emotionalism”, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where the power of God is replaced with hypnosis and sensationalism, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where the saints are entertained instead of equipped, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where those who should be the disciples of the Christ have become fans of the pastor, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where the Church, instead of a Living Body has become a Lifeless Body, you are probably not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where the leader’s empire is built, instead of the Kingdom of God, you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
- When you are in a church where the pastor becomes the super-man and Jesus is reduced to just another religious figure, then you are not in the company of the followers of Jesus, but in a business, masking itself as a church.
Does any one of these sound familiar to you?
If so, you are under a form of “Christianity” which in fact is a cult, not the Church of Jesus Christ, and unless they change, you should leave them before it is too late!
