Hebrews 13:5-6
⁵Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” ⁶so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
Often we say something that we later regret, or we quickly have our judgment on this or that one.
It seems easier to gossip than to say nice things about others.
When we talk about ourselves, it is the other way around. Then we find criticism
mediocre.
When the Lord says something, His words have meaning. Authority.
He never gossips, but always speaks the truth.
His words may be heard by everyone.
By all parties.
In today’s Bible verse, He speaks words of encouragement.
I WILL NOT DESERT YOU, I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU.
Let the words affect you.
He will not leave you alone no matter what circumstance you are in.
You have not sinned too much that He no longer looks after you.
You can still go back to Him.
You have value in His eyes.
Even though you’re on the sidelines now
Even though you now live a double life.
Go to Him, entrust yourself to Him.
He lives up to his words.
No doubt.
