Luke 12:24 AMP
Consider the ravens,
for they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the crop];
they have no storehouse or barn,
and yet God feeds them.
How much more valuable are you than the birds!
When you listen to, and act on God’s word you place yourself in a position where you can receive Gods blessings.
Jesus Christ told His audience during His days to consider the ravens. This message also applies to us today. These large birds don’t work as human beings do, but still they are fed by God.
When Jesus said this He was not encouraging laziness, as these birds have to spend every day a lot of time and energy to find food.
The message Jesus was giving is that people should stop worrying because God is capable of providing for His children.
Even if you are always thinking about your life, you cannot make it go on any longer, not even by one hour! No, you cannot even do a small thing like that. So, if you are always thinking about the things that you need, will that really help you? (See Luke 12:25-26)
Philippians 4:6 AMP
Do not be anxious or worried about anything,
but in everything [every circumstance and situation]
by prayer and petition with thanksgiving,
continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
Once He gives you life, He will also provide for its sustenance.
All we need to do is to pray and work (ora et labora) and trust Him and praise Him for the life He’s given us, and He will lead us, as a good Shepherd, to green pastures.
