2 Corinthians 5:7-8
⁷we walk by faith, not by sight – ⁸we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
It was a hot day, and a little boy was riding alone on a train.
Because of the heath most of the travelers were uncomfortable; and the scenery was also not too interesting, as they passed through the desert of Arizona.
A lady sitting beside the boy asked him, “Are you tired of the long ride?”
The little boy smiled and said, “I’m a little tired, but I don’t mind it much. You see, my father is going to meet me when I get to Los Angeles.”
Sometimes we too may get a little tired of the burdens of life.
But it is exhilarating to know that Jesus Christ will meet us at the end of our journey.
The joy of being with Him forever I cannot describe. In fact I think to describe this, is far beyond the ability of any human being.
Prayer suggestions:
▪︎ Thank God for the unspeakable joy of meeting Him at the end of this earthly journey!
Yes, the moment of arrival will be a moment of extremes.
▪︎ For all who belong to Him, it will be extreme joy.
▪︎ For all who don’t belong to Him, it will be extreme misery.
