Psalms 34:11
Come, you children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Teaching the fear of the Lord, is not only a good thing, it is also a very necessary thing, as the fear of the Lord is not only missing in the world, but also in many churches, and with many Christians.
In the many people, who use God’s name so very easily, it shows there is no respect at all.
Often God’s name is used in curses, and in sayings like “Oh my God” etc. etc.
Eventhough God tells us clearly, and in words that cannot be misunderstood in Exodus 20:7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain”.
Those people who use God’s name in vain, generally
▪︎have no idea who God really is,
▪︎have no idea about how great He is,
▪︎and have no idea how He even today is continually holding evil back.
I hope you are not here on earth anymore on the very day that God takes His arm away, that withholds evil.
I think that people, under the influence of satan, are so extremely evil, that they are able to completely wipe out all life on earth, within three days, and make Hitler, and others like him, look like choir boys.
This God deserves respect, and reverence.
To teach the fear of the Lord…
▪︎ What better goal could parents have?
▪︎ What better goal could any Christian have?
Than to teach them to love, honor, and reverence the one and only heavenly Father.
We all have people around us
▪︎ that need correction
▪︎ and need to be taught, about the love of God,
▪︎ and need to learn, to honor God,
▪︎ and need to learn, to have reverence for God.
After all, our God is the only true, and holy God.
Prayer suggestions:
▪︎ Ask God to be involved in teaching (your) children the fear of the Lord.
▪︎ Ask God for His blessing on your efforts to teach others to love, to honor, and to reverence your God.
