2 Corinthians 4:13
But having the same spirit of faith,
according to what is written,
“I believed, therefore I spoke,”
we also believe, therefore we also speak,
¹¹For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹²instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, ¹³looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, ¹⁴who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
¹⁵These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

A certain private made it a point to look up his chaplain soon after arriving at our command post in the battle area.
Almost his first words were: “Chaplain, I’m not afraid. I believe in God. I pray. I look to God for strength sufficient to carry me through. But please write my folks and make them know that I am all right. They worry about me.”
Several days later the chaplain had to write a letter to his parents.
The letter stated: “Your boy, while on message center run, was cut off from the main body of our troops. He is missing in action. Getting to know Jim as I did, wherever he is, he is with God.”

Whether in battle and flame or in the hours of peaceful, everyday life, we can be “at one” with God.
In faith and utter dependence, out of love and gratitude we can bow before Him who is the strength of our lives.
▪︎ Ask your heavenly Father to help you to place your faith in Him this day.

▪︎ Ask your heavenly Father to help you to seek a deeper faith in Him, and live your life to His honor and glory.
