The Bible is the primary means God uses to talk to us.
From the Bible we learn who God is, what He is like, and what His will for our lives is.
As a plant needs water, a baby needs milk, and an adult needs bread, so too, a Christian needs the water, milk and bread of God’s Word.
Water – “That He (the Christ) might sanctify and cleanse it (the Church) with the washing of water by the word” (Ephesians 5:26)
Milk – “as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2)
Bread – “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
