Revelation 3:15-20
(15) I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. (16) So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
How many of you are going to a church like the church in Laodicea?
You go to the meetings more or less because it is your habit.
You go because you are used to.
And at home you may still read your Bible, but it doesn’t really touch your heart anymore.
If this is you than you are on very dangerous terrain!
You need to repent and return to your first love. Otherwise the One who you think is your Savior may spit you out of His mouth and turn against you!
(17) Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, (18) I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.
Do you live in worldly rich conditions?
Or do you belong to a ‘church’ that promotes the “prosperity gospel”?
Be aware! You are on very dangerous terrain!
How many of you are going to a church like the church in Laodicea?
You go to the meetings but you leave as hungry as you went in. You were not fed Spiritually.
You may think you are rich, but these are only temporary earthly possessions.
Jesus says that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and walk around naked, and you don’t even know it.
He advises you to buy from Him what has real and eternal value.
(19) Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. (20) Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
I heard some people complain that my messages recently seem to be so “negative”. I even had to remove some. But don’t you see that it is the love of God, Who is warning you, and pulling you back to Him? He reproves and disciplines those whom He loves!
He is very nearby, and He is waiting for you to open up your heart to Him, so you will be fed again and be full again of His glory.
Consider this for a moment.
Have I maybe become lukewarm?
Am I maybe poor while satan blinded me, making me think that I was rich?
Am I missing His robe of righteousness and am I in fact running around naked?
Am I actually still hungry for spiritual food?
Than stop now, and tell your Lord that you really need Him, and that you again want to follow Him where He leads you.
