There is One Who is ever the same, and who is always with us.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
There is one stable rock amidst the billows of the sea of life.
Matthew 7:24-25
²⁴Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. ²⁵And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
● Don’t set your affections upon earthly things that rust, that are eaten by moths, that are decaying treasures, but set your heart upon Him Who abides forever faithful to you.
Matthew 6:19
¹⁹Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
● Don’t build not your house upon the moving quicksand of a deceitful world, but put the foundation of your hope upon the Rock of ages, Which, amid descending rain and roaring floods, shall stand immovably secure.
Matthew 7:26-27
²⁶Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. ²⁷The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell-and great was its fall.”
● Lay up your treasure in the only secure cabinet; store your jewels where you can never lose them.
Matthew 6:20
Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal
● Put your all in the Christ;
▪︎ set all your affections on His person,
▪︎ all your hope in His merit,
▪︎ all your trust in his efficacious blood,
▪︎ all your joy in his presence,
So you may laugh, even when you suffer loss, and defy destruction.
Remember that all the flowers in the world’s garden fade by turns, and the day comes when nothing will be left but the black, cold earth.
Death’s black extinguisher will soon put out your candle. But…
▪︎ When you followed the Christ, the dim light of the candle will be exchanged for sweet and bright sunlight.
▪︎ When you followed the Christ, your existence in this dark world will be exchanged for an existence in His bright glory.
If you are not sure of this bright and glorious future, then repent of your sins today, and start following your Savior!
Trust in Him, for He will never leave you, nor forsake you. He will go with you through the black and surging current of death’s stream, and He will bring you safely to the place that He has prepared for you as well, so you too can be with Him in heavenly places forever.
Go to Him now, on this very moment, don’t delay, you cannot afford to wait one minute longer, go to Him now in prayer and tell Him all your secrets, all your pain, all your sorrow, all your doubts, and ask Him to forgive your sins.
Trust all your concerns to Him Who never can be taken from you, Who will never leave thee, Jesus, the Christ, Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
He Who said “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” is enough for your soul to live upon. Let them who want to leave and forsake you go, for in the Christ you have a Friend who sticks closer than a brother!
