Let love be without hypocrisy.
Abhor what is evil;
cling to what is good.
Devotional
Love must be sincere.
Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Our love cannot be feigned, faked, or fickle!
That means that we abhor things that are evil.
We not only stay away from them, but we disdain them.
At the same time, we should commit ourselves to lovingly drawing closer to goodness and righteousness.
In our intentions, there should not be shades of gray, only a passionate desire for what is right, good, and holy.
Prayer suggestions
▪︎ Thank the Holy and Righteous Father, that He will see you in the Christ as righteous and holy because of Jesus’ sacrifice.
▪︎ Ask God to help you to live up to how He sees you in His Son.
▪︎ Ask God to fill you with His love.
▪︎ Ask God to drive out anything unclean, evil, or rancid that dwells in your heart.
