Devotional
An idol is a representation or symbol of an object of worship, a false god. In other words, anything that takes the place of the Most High is an idol.
The worship of idols is a deception from the devil; he will do anything to turn people’s heart away from the true God.
Dear friends, are you serving the true God?
The true God has said we should not worship or serve creation, such as the moon, stars, sun, rivers, trees, stones, etc. (Deuteronomy 4:15–19).
He sent His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to show the true way to worship and serve God. He said God is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:23).
Being born again is the beginning of demonstrating true worship of God. Here, your spirit is recreated in conformity to the Spirit of God, and you can offer true worship to God through His Word.
Friends, anything that takes your attention away from God is also an idol.
Accept Jesus Christ today if you haven’t done so, and begin to worship and serve the true God.
Idol worship leads to condemnation, but worshipping and serving the true God leads to peace, joy, and eternal life.
