Devotional
Scientifically, a fruit is a developed ovule from a flower. This flower is an extension of the branch of the tree.
In like manner, the Spirit of God is the flower of God that bears the fruit of love expressed in joy, peace, longsuffering or patience, gentleness, goodness, faith or faithfulness, meekness, and temperance or self-control.
Dear friends, are you bearing the fruit of the Spirit?
Bearing the fruit of the Spirit requires that you know, love, and cooperate with the Holy Spirit to express His nature of love through you.
He is the Spirit of truth, so you can only know Him through the Word of God, the Holy Bible (John 16:13-14).
John 16:13-14
¹³But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. ¹⁴He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.
After knowing Him, love Him and make time to fellowship with Him, especially very early in the morning so that He can lead you to start your day right.
As you do this daily and make it your lifestyle, you will begin to bear His fruit (the fruit of the Spirit).
Remember that when people begin to praise you for your good behavior, it is a sign that you are bearing the fruit of the Spirit.
On the other hand, when people begin to dislike your behavior and say nasty things about you all the time, it is a sign that you are not bearing the fruit of the Spirit.
Friends, bear the fruit of the Spirit, and God will help you to draw many people to the Christ.
