1 John 1:7
but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Once a year on May 4, we commemorate in our country the fallen from the Second World War, in Europe and in Asia.
They gave their lives for our freedom. We can respect that, and honor these people.
Nevertheless, it is good to also dwell on the above text.
In it we are taken to the cross of our Lord Jesus.
He died there to make eternal liberty for those who are bound in the bonds of death, for the captives of sin.
He does that in a wonderful way.
He allowed Himself to be bound and He died to loosen us, to set us free, and to give us eternal life.
That message may still be proclaimed in all its fullness today.
For those who believe it is: He who is set free by the Son is free indeed.
