God remains faithful to His covenant. In His time the Lord fulfills His promise, no matter how difficult life may seem. In particular, we see God’s Love to children, to young people.
Also in the Old Testament the Lord shows that he is a child’s friend.
Hagar and Ishmael are having a hard time. They have been sent away and are walking in the desert.
Will Hagar have to lose her child here?
What’s next?
Her life is hopeless.
What else can she expect?
Does her son Ishmael still have a future?
Ishmael cries out for help and God hears his voice. God shows His love to this rejected child.
Would that have changed now?
No, God still keeps looking for helpless children.
God does not let the youth of this desert cry out for life in vain.
God always hears your voice too.
His love is infinitely great and still He wants nothing more than people who cry out, hear and help Him. Ishmael was given drink and strength, he could go on.
When you cry to God, He will hear you and help you on your journey through the desert to the Promised Land.
